Is there somewhere I can take a used plasma tv?
I have a 42" Phillips Plasma tv. It has red lines through out it. I thought maybe I could sell it to someone who knows how to fix it and in return they could sell it for a profit. I live in San Diego. Anyone know a place that does this.
Sub woofer won't power on after using plasma tv audio pass through?
I just bought a new Panasonic tc p50s2 plasma tv. My receiver is an Integra DTR 5.5 which does not support HDMI. I have my cable box, Ps3, and DVD player hooked up to my tv directly with HDMI cables to get optimal video quality rather than using the analog component cables through the receiver . I then use a toslink optical audio cable from " Digital audio out" on the tv to the receiver. This works fine, and the surround sound is decent, but not quite as good as before. My main problem is that the sub woofer does not trigger on under any mode. Before, when audio was connected directly to the receiver, I was able to use Dolby 2, DTS, etc. Now that I'm using the pass through on the tv, it changes the audio stream to PCM and I only get to use preset EQ settings, PCM, direct audio, and pure audio. None of these activate the subwoofer. My question is, is there any way to activate it like before? Or better yet to be able to use DTS or Dolby features while also using the tv for pass through? Thanks to anyone with an idea
