My philips plasma tv has a white vertical line through the middle of it! HELP!?
My philips plasma tv shows a white vertical line directly through the middle of the screen. it sort of occasionally flickers and goes away but most of the time is present. I just want to know what this problem is called so i can try and get an idea of how much it would cost to repair. which part of the tv is actually defective? also will it get worse? at the moment its not too annoying, because its just a very thin white line through the middle and the rest of the picture is fine but it would obviously be ideal to fix it. thanks in advance

Is it normal for my new philips plasma tv to glow for hours after it is turned off?
I have heard of the standby mode and how the gasses have to clear and what not, but I notice the tv is still glowing when i come downstairs in the morning after turning it off at night I think that seems too long. Also, is there a way i can turn the standby mode off for the night?

I have a 4 year old 47" plasma tv model 42PF5520D 10 and my son flicked the switch at the outlet where the tv was plugged in on and when we flicked it back the tv goes on but with no picture. However Philips FAQ website says that the problem I am facing can be taken care of by the upgrade version EJ30U 0.99.0.0 an older upgrade . I wanted to know if the latest upgrade incorporates the features of the previous upgrade versions as well. Thanks.
Why does my Philips plasma tv screen go blank?
It has happened once before. Its as if the tv is turned off all of a sudden, but the " on" light is still on. It wont do anything at all. Do these tv's get too hot, or is it something more? Thanks I have had the tv for 8 months.
Blue haze at the top of my Philips Plasma tv?
I own a 42 inch Philips Ambilight TV and recently every now and again when there is a white background on whatever Im watching, there is a little bit of blue haze miscoloring only where the white is. Its not really big, but I just recently noticed it. Is this the beginning of the end of my tv? Is there anything i can do to combat fix this?
