Question: I am trying to hook up a magnavox 15mf/20fm series lcd tv to my pc:?

The video works but the built in speakers will not work, nothing is muted, I have the correct cord connecting the sound output to the tv... a little help would be appreciated.

If the "correct " cord happens to be a HDMI cord then you have to go to Control Panel, Sound, and configure your sound to HDMI. If your PC doesn't have the HDMI option it won't work until it does. You will need to ask for computer help for that one.
