just wondering if you can play games on it? not sure because it is a rear projection, and i know with the projection screen I had before you couldn't because of the risk of a burn on image. Checked Owners Manual and it doesn't say anything about gaming, it does however show a " video game" drawn image so I'm guessing you can but I don't want to risk it.it is a LCD but it's a LCD Rear Projection Screen

hello, i have a lg 44sz21rd lcd rear projection tv, the tv turns on for a few minutes then the picture starts to flicker and it goes onto standby. what i want to know is if the bulb is on its way out will it still light up then go out after a few minutes? and also will a knackered bulb make the tv lose sound and go into standby mode? plus when i turn it on it makes a weird beeping sound is this right? any help with this would be gratefully received. cheers, jerry
Why does the screen on my Sony LCD rear projection TV flicker?
Sometimes the screen on my Sony LCD rear projection TV will flicker. It won't go off or anything and it's mostly around the edges but it's pretty annoying. We called Sony and I don't think they knew what they were talking about. They said something about leaving the TV on the same channel for a few hours and that should take care of it. That doesn't do anything at all. It seems to be happening more and more now. We are thinking it could mean that we need to change the bulb. Is that a possibility? Thanks

Help with problems on Hitaichi 50V500 LCD rear projection tv?
We have a problem with the sides of the screen turning blue, and also the center has red haze. Could this be a light engine problem I have heard about before? If so, what would the estimated cost be to repair it? we bought it in 2004 and are out of warranty.
