My lg lcd tv screen went black when lightning struck outside somewhere?
The stupid thing is the power didnt flicker or go out or anything but when i heard the lightning strike im sure it was still a ways away but my tv screen pretty much died and went black and the power light on it just keeps going normal to dim to normal to dim, etc. over and over. Does anyone know how to fix it or what part may need replaced? id rather not waste my time or money sending it back to get fixed id rather buy the part myself and have a local proffessional put it in for me.
What will happen if I wrap aluminum foil around blown lcd tv fuse?
I herd people did this and it worked, but I also know that it increases the chance of a fire, and you risk damage to your tv. I also know that there is a reason the fuse blew, and I should fix that before replacing the fuse.But what would happen if I go on and wrap the aluminum foil around the fuse, and plug it in, will it work temporally, will it immediately blow up and catch fire?

last night when changing source on my philip cineos lcd tv, rainbow static colours showed up and then it went dark... it still has the ambilight and sound but no picture... we don't have the warranty anymore and was wondering if there was any easy fixes? we kept the tv off over night unplugged but still no picture... please help

Earlier I called Coby because my tv wasn't turning on the lady told me to hit menu and after that it worked.. well now a couple hours later I.turn it on and again it doesn't work.. Lightning strike caused my lcd tv screen to die?
basically lighting struck and my screen went black its only a year old tv 42inch lcd LG, now what i want to know is if it were the power board that broke would the power indicator light on the tv still be lit up? because when i try to turn it on the light doesnt turn blue suggesting that the tv is on now , instead it keeps on red but goes dim back to bright consecutively. Just dont want to buy a new power board if it could be other things.
