What would you use to clean a flat screen HDTV?
I have a 42inch flat screen HDTV... and im not sure what to use to clean the dust from the screen and the dust behind it...Someone told me to use a wash cloth with cold water on it to clean and others tell me not to... This maybe sort of a dumb question but if any body knows how to clean these things please tell me... And Thanks for you time
Buying a flat-screen HDTV?
I am still using my Sony CRT TV I bought 15 years ago and it is still in good shape.I dropped by Best Buy few days ago and saw some Flat screen HDTV only cost $299. The picture quality is very good.Do you have to pay extra to the cable comapny in order to watch HDTV? I saw the same TV in McDonalds and the picture is not so great when comparing with what i saw in Best Buy.
What is going on with my 19" Element Electronics flat screen HDTV?
I bought a 19" Element Electronics flat screen HDTV on Black Friday 2008. I receive over the air digital signal, not with a HD antenna. I noticed that watching NBC both local news and network shows that the screen jumps slightly towards the left side of the screen once every second or so. It only moves a little, but it is noticeable. I have not seen it on any other network, or while playing Xbox or watching a DVD. I do not think that there is anything that can be done to fix it, I just was curious if anyone else noticed the same thing.
What can I use to clean my flat screen HDTV with?
I have an Emerson HDTV. I just would like to know what I can clean it with. I have seen wipes that they sell for $20 to clean the screen with. I have also seen wipes for $1. I also have a microfiber cloth that says it is safe for HDTVs. It says it will not scratch the screen. I just don't know what to use. Can anyone tell me what is safe, and not safe to use to clean the screen with. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Where can I donate my flat screen HDTV for some money?
I have a 37LG30. My ironing board fell on it and gave it a small scratch. I had thought it was nothing. However, I then realized once I had turned it on that i had cracked the screen inside the TV. I had payed $700 for it and bought it last Christmas. I have the receipt as proof. I wondered if I could donate it somewhere that would give at least $100 for it. It's basically brand new and has no other scratches.If you are interested or know somewhere I can donate it please let me know. Thank You Very Much

Is it safe to attach a flat screen HDTV to the wall in the area over a fireplace?
There is no vent or other direct heat on the set. The question is whether just the fireplace heat will heat the wall to a degree the TV would be damaged.We are just moving to the house, and have not run the fireplace....It just seem to me a lot of people have put a flat screen over the fireplace mantle Your experience are of great interest to me.
