What is the best flat panel hdtv that will work both in the UK and the US?
We live in the UK now and will be moving back to the US in a year and a half or so. We want to buy a large, flat panel tv here but want to make sure we can take it back with us. what brands are best? What is better, plasma, lcd? What should we look for?
A good flat panel hdtv?
will to start things off, im a big gamer, so im looking for a good t.v. to support a somewhat high resolution. only problem is i dont want something too big, im thinking at the most a 32in and least 26in, which usally are about 720p, but i want something that will last me a very long time and i want something durrable, something that can be on for hours at a time, around 10 12 hours a day, and still last me a few years, im also not a big spender, so i really wasnt intending to pay more then $600, i saw a few tvs that were around 32in and were $399 and another that was $450, but they were refurbushed. but i want something new so i can get a warrenty. anyone got any suggestions? a good cheap flat panel lcd hdtv? and were it could be found? thank you.

Choosing LCD Flat-panel HDTV?
I'm looking to buy a LCD flat panel HDTV but having a difficult time deciding between brands. I was going to go with a 32" Samsung because I had heard good things about it, but then I saw that I could get a 37 42" Dynex Vizio Insignia Westinghouse for about the same price though not as steller cnet reviews . So my question is, are the aforementioned brands any good or will they just die on me in a month or two? Is the Samsung or Panasonic, Sony, etc. name worth the price tag and smaller screen size? It seems as though there is a silent epidemic criss crossing America, that being the revenge of the Chinese Manufacturers of electronics, especially HDTV's. There are more and more stories popping up that people who bought new HDTV' 10 23 months later having to have them repaired. TV that worked one day and the next did not turn back on. It seems that this is only happening to 32" models. Many people don't get extended warranties and are now paying for the repair of essentially a brand new TV. Why are TV stands for flat panel HDTV's so overpriced?
Look on any website or go into any store and you are very unlikely to find a decent tv stand for under $100. You are even more unlikely to find one under $50. These things aren't that big, but can cost as much as a cheap LCD TV. Does anyone know of any web site that has decent prices on TV stands? Don't say amazon.com, bestbuy.com, or overstock.com I've checked those already and they too have pretty expensive TV stands. I just don't think we should have to pay hundreds of dollars on something that we have to put together ourselves.
