I am thinking of buying a cheap hdtv for my dorm room that works with my Xbox 360?
I have an Xbox 360, and I want to buy a cheap tv that will work with the hdmi that my 360 has. The tv is intended for use in a bedroom and dormroom. I'm willing to spend up to $400 on a tv preferable a tv that can handle 720p, and a high contrast ratio so that the 360 games look good. Can people tell me suggested tv models so that I have an idea what to look for?

HEELP!! did i buy a cheap hdtv?
i've had an emerson 32 inch hdtv i bought from walmart a couple of months ago. when i watch cable and dvds the picture is fine albeit a little blurry. i mainly bought it to play my xbox 360 games in hd, and this is where i have problems. though the quality is alot better than playing on my old sd tv, the picture in some games is terrible. when i use component or hdmi cables the picture will go from light to dark when the game is in action. when the action is still the picture is light and when there is action the picture will darken and become pixelated and blurry. this is prominent in games such as star ocean the last hope, resident evil 5 and dead or alive 4 but in devil may cry 4 and street fighter 4 the picture is gorgeous. i'm sure this will happen in other games as well. this is supposed to be an hd tv and i am soo disappointed, even though it was on sale for only 350 dollars. my brother has a 500 dollar panasonic hdtv and his games are beautiful on it and has none of the flickering and ratio problems i'm having. is there any way to fix this problem or should i buy a better brand hdtv? i heard emersons were not a good brand and the low aspect ratio was the problem. is this true?
